A client gave me this for my birthday. He used to always comment on whether I’d gained or lost weight. Eventually I told him that this upset me and asked him to stop. To his credit he was very apologetic and stopped doing it. It never seemed to have occurred to him that this would have bothered me.
Die hab ich von einem Kunden zum Geburstag bekommen. Er hatte die Angewohnheit mein Gewicht zu kommentieren, ob ich zu- oder abgenommen hätte. Dann hab ich ihm mal gesagt, dass mir das nicht gefällt und dass er lieber aufhören soll. Zu seiner Verteidigung hat er sich vielmals entschuldigt und tatsächlich aufgehört. Es schien ihm nie in den Sinn gekommen zu sein, dass mir das unangenehm sein könnte.
Un cliente me dio esto para mi cumpleaños. Siempre comentaba si yo había ganado o perdido peso. Un día le dije que me molestaba y le pedí que parara. Diré a su favor que se disculpó y dejó de hacerlo. Nunca se le ocurrió pensar que esto podría resultar molesto.
